The Workload Manager (WLM) component of z/OS monitors a system and determines how much resource should be given to each item of work to meet the goals that you have defined for it. This video describes how when work is assigned to a Service Class, z/OS Workload Manager manages the work according to the goals of period number 1, then period number 2, and so on.
