Related Media
This video provides an overview of how IMS handles database recovery and the IMS Logger. DL/I provides standard recovery procedures built around the use of a IMS log data set (system log) that records all changes made to the databases, in chronological sequence. This video also covers ACBs, which are control blocks that are created from the output of DBD and PSB generation and placed in the ACB library for use during online and database batch (DBB) region type execution of IMS.
