Unit 13 Section14: DBRC and the Recovery Control Utility

This video describes the JCL used to start the Recovery Control utility and Database Recovery Control (DBRC), which does two main tasks:

• Maintains an inventory of the status of system logs (e.g. OLDS, SLDS, RLDS) produced by an Online System to enable system recovery and restart.

• Provides recovery information for registered databases
