Pfizer discusses mission-critical SAP HANA on IBM Power Systems at Think 2021

Pfizer was developing one of the three vaccines now being used to rid the world of the Covid-19 pandemic. It needed the capability to deliver the vaccine that must stay at -112 degrees fahrenheit. Once opened and mixed, the vaccine must be used within 6 hours. Pfizer currently runs SAP ERP with Oracle Database on IBM Power Technology. SAP Business Warehouse, which is critical for operations and is not just a reporting tool, also runs on IBM Power Systems with the SAP HANA Database. The Client’s order to cash processes, including requirements planning, manufacturing, and delivery also operate on IBM Power Systems.
