Episode 4 – PowerVC & VMRM for DR Interoperability

The IBM Power Virtualization Center offering provides simplified virtualization and cloud management for IBM AIX®, IBM i and Linux virtual machines (VMs) running on IBM Power Systems.  Introducing the IBM VM Recovery Manager for DR solution into a PowerVC managed environment is fully supported, however, you need to evaluate how PowerVC will react when you perform Planned or Unplanned DR operations and LPAR profiles are no longer present at the primary site.  In this video I outline some of those considerations and different options to coordinate the status of LPARs between the two solutions.
