An overview of DFSMShsm's capability to leverage FlashCopy and tape technology to create fast PiT copies of one or more storage groups and then optionally offload those copies to tape.  DFSMShsm provides the unique capability to recover an individual data set from the PiT copy on disk or tape.  Also, an overview of how Db2 utilizes this capability within the Db2 BACKUP SYSTEM and RESTORE SYSTEM utilities.
