AIX System Performance Support requires the person opening the case have some insight into the issue being reported. Gathering information before calling IBM support could shorten the time it takes to resolve your issue. The AIX System Performance Analysis team requires at least two pieces of information when diagnosing a AIX System Performance issue:

1. Problem description
2. Perfpmr data collection

In the first of these two videos, Alan Hunt talks through the recommended IBM Technical Must Gather doc and the importance of this document. Alan also describes the detailed problem description you should supply to IBM and the type of performance issue being seen. The environment and how the performance is presenting itself to you.
