IBM Z Open Debug

This video introduces the IBM Z Open Debug component that ships with multiple products, including IBM ADFz, IDz EE and IBM Wazi for Red Hat Code Ready Workspaces. It includes a brief demonstration of the install configuration and an example of how to use IBM Z Open Debug.

IBM Z Open Debug offers debugging for applications written in COBOL and PL/I. It leverages the IBM z/OS Debugger and provides the ability to work with breakpoints and variables, step through code, and modify registers and variables.

In this demo of the Z Open Debug features of Wazi for VS code, we will install a set of VS code extensions into VS code that will provide the functions for editing, building and debugging.
