IBM i can send copies of IFS data and BRMS full and incremental backups to Spectrum Protect via S3. This demo shows how to setup Spectrum Protect and IBM i to work together. IBM i can send data to Spectrum Protect directory & cloud container stgpools via S3. On Spectrum Protect you must: -Define Object Agent with port 443 and Define Object Client -Setup a container bucket with a tool like S3 Browser. Replication and tier to cloud are supported for S3 object client data. Tier to tape, copy to tape and retention sets are not supported for S3 object client data. On IBM i you must load product 5733ICC (IBM Cloud Storage Solution for i). You must create a resource pointing to Spectrum Protect with crts3ricc To do copies of IFS data to/from Spectrum Protect use cpytocld and cpyfrmcld. Copies are NOT automatically expired from Spectrum Protect. BRMS full and incremental backups can also be sent to Spectrum Protect via S3. First you must run inzbrm *data and create a control group QCLDBSP. The entire image and all the libraries beneath it will be transferred as a single virtual volume to Spectrum Protect. BRMS manages expiration of data from Spectrum Protect. Restore of one library requires the entire image to be copied back to IBM i. https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/spectrum-protect/8.1.12?topic=cs-sending-data-spectrum-protect-by-using-...https://helpsystemswiki.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/IWT/pages/211910657/BRMS+Cloud+Solutions+FAQ
