System Insights Agent Demo: Late high CPU job analysis scenario
In this demo, we showcase how IBM watsonx Assistant for Z system insights agents can help troubleshoot performance issues in a mainframe environment using a conversational AI interface.
The foundational system insights agents—part of IBM watsonx Assistant for Z—provide real-time operational insights into subsystem health monitored by IBM Z OMEGAMON, applications and systems automated by IBM Z System Automation and IBM Z NetView, and batch jobs managed by IBM Z Workload Scheduler. These agents enable users to pinpoint issues and bottlenecks through natural language conversations within a single interface.
In this scenario, we use the IBM Z OMEGAMON Insights agent and the IBM Z Workload Scheduler Insights agent to analyze a high CPU performance issue on an LPAR and a batch job that is not executed as expected.
