IBM STEM for Girls Executive Women in STEM Campaign: Deb Pimentel (IBM)

To celebrate International Women's Day (IWD) and support the IWD 2022 Theme #BreakTheBias, STEM for Girls Canada interviewed four female executives, Jane Yuen (CIBC), Tatjana Lalkovic (Definity), Dhruva Suthar (IBM) and Deb Pimentel (IBM). In these videos, the women shared vulnerable experiences, insights and knowledge learned from their professional careers, as well as encouragement and advice for youth. We believe these videos are important because girls are telling us they want to learn and grow for greater representation in STEM fields (and we know it's hard to find those female role models). Through these videos, we hope girls will start to see their future selves in STEM careers. Our hope is that these videos will inspire our community of youth, especially young girls, to continue learning STEM, bringing awareness to women in STEM (in high power roles), and spotlighting successful role models for youth.
