Building the world’s first fault-tolerant quantum computer in Poughkeepsie, New York
IBM has the only credible plan to build fault-tolerant quantum computers at scale, and we’re building them right now at our historic facility in Poughkeepsie, New York. Our first fault-tolerant system, Starling, comes online in 2029 with the ability to run quantum circuits with 100 million quantum gates on 200 logical qubits. In 2033, we’ll unveil Blue Jay, which will be able to run circuits with one billion gates on 2,000 logical qubits. In this video, we take viewers on a tour through the quantum data center of the fault-tolerant era.
