With the introduction of Safeguarded Copy functionality in the 8.4.2.0 code, Spectrum Virtualize clients join IBM DS8K clients in adding an important weapon to their data security and protection arsenal. This session seeks to quickly review the components of the Spectrum Virtualize Safeguarded Copy solution along with demonstrating the possibilities around automating important aspects of a Cybervault solution such as event detection, application consistent backups, and iterative recovery and validation. We’ll begin the journey with Ansible orchestrated automation and segue into a comparative solution employing IBM’s QRadar SIEM (security information and event management) tool and its accompanying SOAR (security orchestration automation and response) platform.
